Qatar will host the IASP World Conference in 2014

Voting took place at the 2012 IASP World Conference in Tallinn to decide who would host the event in 2014 and Qatar was chosen as the winner. Thus the 2014 World Conference will be held in Doha, Qatar and hosted by Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP).
QSTP put forward an impressive bid and promotional campaign and managed to beat off strong competition from Pomeranian Science & Technology Park in Gdynia, Poland.
The prospect of a World Conference in Qatar is an exciting one as it will be the first time one is held in the Middle East region. The STP sector in the region is growing and this will further help it to do so. Qatar Science & Technology Park itself was only inaugurated in 2009 but has established itself as an important support structure in the economic and human development of the country.
IASP would like to thank Pomeranian Science & Technology Park for their hard work in preparing their bid and we congratulate QSTP on its successful candidature.
